​​Beginner Gardener Workshops

This practical workshop is designed to give you foundational knowledge you can apply straight away in an urban setting to get started on your food growing journey.  I'll share my no fuss, tried and tested methods for planning and planting your garden.  We'll explore garden layout, what to grow, planning for watering, composting, and building a garden community through companion planting.  We'll also touch on soil care and crop rotation.  If you are at the early stages of planning a garden then this workshop is for you. 

Workshop Structure

9.45am - 10.00am

Arrival and introductions over light morning tea

We'll talk through how to get started, with tips on planning and planting your garden.

11.00am - 11. 45am

You'll tour the garden and see first hand the benefits of companion planting and rotation gardening.

11.45am - 12.00pm

This is your time to ask any burning questions, and discuss anything in more detail before the workshop ends.

​​Seasoned Gardener Workshops

This practical workshop is designed to take your garden and growing to the next level.  You'll build on your gardening knowledge to grow nutritious vegetables year round from seed to harvest.  I'll share tips to increase your harvest yield, and plant feeding practices for optimum growth.  I'll run through seed saving and propagation methods.  We'll explore soil care, crop rotation and seasonal succession planting.  If you want more healthy crops out of the garden you have then this workshop is for you.
